Founded in 2022 by Julian Caron-Lys, a Swiss-French driven by adventure and authenticity, Utopia Tropical is a bean-to-bar chocolate factory based in Curitiba, in the south of Brazil. Our mission? To transform wild Amazonian cocoa into a unique sensory and artistic experience, celebrating Brazil’s rich cultural heritage and supporting local communities.

We source our cocoa directly from indigenous and riverine communities of the Amazon rivers, through an ethical approach that preserves the forest and values its guardians.

Our Factory
We work on the bean-to-bar model, from roasting to tempering, including refining and conching. Each chocolate bar is an invitation to an immersive journey, blending exotic flavors, bold textures, and visual narratives inspired by contemporary art. Unique Brazilian ingredients—cashew, passion fruit, cumaru, cupuaçu—capture the vibrant essence of the Amazon.
